Aaron Charles de la Garza

Aaron’s practice has focused on the efficient and cost-effective prevention and resolution of employment, business, construction, real estate, and consumer disputes. His clients have included Fortune 500 companies, foreign corporations, small businesses, start-ups, and individuals.

Aaron practices in all levels of Texas state and federal courts, from appellate work before the Court of Appeals and Texas Supreme Court to Justice of the Peace proceedings. Aaron has represented parties in administrative hearings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Texas Workforce Commission, City of Austin, Texas Medical Board, Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, and the Texas Youth Commission, and he has handled appeals of administrative decisions in both district court and the Court of Appeals. Aaron has also represented parties in alternative dispute resolution, including meditations and binding arbitration before the American Arbitration Association.

Aaron was born in McAllen, Texas. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, graduating in 1997 with a degree in the Plan II Honors Program. Aaron graduated from The University of Texas School of Law in 2000 and was admitted to the Texas Bar in November 2000. Aaron began his career as an associate with Winstead Sechrest & Minick in Houston, Texas, practicing employment law litigation. In 2005, Aaron began a solo practice.  In 2008, Aaron, who had clerked for Claude Ducloux after his first year of law school, joined the association of Hill, Ducloux, Carnes & de la Garza. Aaron is admitted to practice before the courts of the State of Texas, the United States District Courts, Western and Southern Districts of Texas, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Aaron is a certified guardian ad litem and is a Texas Education Agency appointed independent hearing examiner for local school district employment disputes.
